IMMERSIVE INNOVATION LABS
DOC 234—34/2
Orange Sparkle Ball // 2021 - Ongoing
Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University // 2021
CHALLENGE: Innovation is often thought of as something for those in certain corporate environments, resulting in it being gatekept and left out of spaces that it could impact the most. My team at Orange Sparkle Ball sought to not only merge innovation frameworks from different sectors to create a framework that takes the best from each, but also make it more accessible and bring it into settings like social services and public health.
PROCESS: Started the process in collaboration with a colleague with a public health background. Assisted in the research and meta analysis of innovation and implementation frameworks across sectors. From that we developed a hybrid framework that we built a toolkit, lesson plan, pitch deck, and book from, all internally. When opportunities arose, we were able to pivot and customize this baseline of content depending on the needs. External cohorts also allowed opportunities to test and iterate on our ideas.
OUTCOMES:
Internal – Currently in a (formal) Version 2 of the Framework: Toolkit, Pitch deck, Videos (in development), Cohort platform (in development), and a book.
